Christmas is over!!!

The long anticipated Christmas day is finally over!!! Hope received a quad from me, modified bike and a kitchen from Santa and a guitar (thank you Uncle Scott), amung other things!! She dumped the quad in the first 5 minutes. I made her get back on right away but she hasn't tested the waters since! Our wonderful PT comes tomorrow so she will be bugged to help out with the bike. I am so thankful that the guitar allows a headphone plug in! She's learning quick. After one of her jam sessions "This baby rocks!"

Hope was able to visit Rachel at the ranch for Hippotherapy last week. I've missed it!

We are still waiting to hear on our service dog and Hope's surgeries. I will keep you posted!

Welcome Back!

I finally created a new blog!
We haven't received any info on a service dog yet. I am guessing after the holidays.
Hope will be having a spinal tap before year end. The results of that will determine replacement of a Baclofen pump, a possible shunt or more invasive testing. I'll keep this updated.
For now Hope is still doing homebound schooling and limited therapy. She has been in drug withdrawals for a couple of months now. It has not been fun. Her spasticity has all come back and she is not able to do half of what she use to. The attitude hasn't been pleasant either! I am seeing more of the real Hope everyday though. I think we are finally on the upswing.
Thanks to being on the news, a wonderful lady called us from the Prayer Child Foundation. They sell candles and bracelets to help support children in any way needed. They donated money to Hope so she could get a stander. They are around $3,000 new. It took a while to find a newer version at a good price. It finally happened! It is a very tight squeeze in the house and she is a wild woman in it! My next challenge is to remove the slider between the main house and my apt. and turn it into a door. She can't make it over the track on her own.
Most of you know that our foster girl moved out with Hope and I. She has adjusted well and Hope loves having a little sister.
We hope this season is happy and healthy for all! Sorry but no cards or photos are being sent out this year! I ran out of time and money!
